The Cowichan vest was produced in Canada by the legendary hand knit manufacturer The Canadian Sweater Company. Founded in 1977 and located in British Colombia, where the cowichan knitting method was invented, The Canadian Sweater Company specializes in hand-knit pieces designed to withstand and overpower the Canadian winters. Arguably the first logo sweater, the cowichan is undeniably Canadian. We took it one step further by branding it with our iconic Stussy Canada Beaver link logo. Nothing says Canada quite like the North American Beaver, our official emblem. We are extremely proud of this collaboration that will be made available only at Stussy Canada stores.   • Perfect for tablerunners, quilting and home decor projects

  Yukata cotton fabrics are sold by the yard and measure approx. 13.5″ wide. These are vintage fabrics from the Showa Period (per-WWII until 1989). This fabric is hand dyed using the chusen process. The repeat is every 42″ which then flips to a mirror image repeat. The flowers with leaves measure approx. 7″ to 12″ across and the background is a dark indigo blue.

  These beautiful vintage fabrics make unique additions to a quilt project and stunning tablerunners for your home.

  Some fun facts about Yukata:

  Yukata translates to “bathing clothes”
  A yukata is a summer cotton kimono that is unlined
  One bolt of yukata cotton, approx. 14″ wide x 12 yards long makes one kimono
  Traditionally the yukata was worn to the bath house
  Today yukatas have become popular to wear at summer festivals
