  • Vintage Yukata cottons from WWII to 1989
  • Excellent condition
  • Perfect for tablerunners, quilting and home decor projects

  Yukata cotton fabrics are sold by the yard and measure approx. 13.5″ wide. These are vintage fabrics from the Showa Period (per-WWII until 1989). This fabric is hand dyed using the chusen process. The repeat is every 42″ which then flips to a mirror image repeat. The flowers with leaves measure approx. 7″ to 12″ across and the background is a dark indigo blue.

  These beautiful vintage fabrics make unique additions to a quilt project and stunning tablerunners for your home.

  The history of fine linen “Echigo Jofu” is old. It is preserved in Nara Shoso-in, which indicates that the history of the textile industry in the Shiozawa district goes back at least 1200 years.
